SRV Records in Cloud Hosting
If you host a domain address in a cloud hosting account from our company and we handle the DNS records for it, you're going to be able to set up a new SRV record with only a few clicks in the DNS Records section of your Hepsia Control Panel. Our intuitive interface makes it much easier to set up a new record in comparison to other website hosting Control Panels, so if you need an SRV record, you'll simply need to fill a few boxes and you will be ready. This includes the protocol and the port number, the value i.e. the actual record, the priority and the weight. For the last two you could set any value between 1 and 100 based on which server you want users to access first or what recommendations the other provider has given you. As an extra option, you can choose how long this record is going to be active after you edit it or delete it - the so-called Time To Live time, that’s measured in seconds. If you're not asked otherwise, you could leave the default value there.
SRV Records in Semi-dedicated Hosting
As we acknowledge how aggravating it could be to handle DNS records, we're going to offer you an easy-to-use DNS administration instrument as part of our custom Hepsia CP, so when you host your domain names inside a semi-dedicated server account from us, you are going to be able to create an SRV record without any issues. We have a step-by-step guide, that will make things even easier. Using an intuitive interface, you'll need to input the details that the other company has supplied you with - protocol, port number and service. Unless they've given you specific instructions to change the priority and / or the weight values, you can leave those two options as they are and your new record will go live within a couple of minutes. The Time To Live option (TTL) may also be set to a custom value, but typically the default value of 3600 seconds is used for the majority of records. This value shows the time the record will continue existing after it is edited or removed.
